We know you’ll have questions – we’re happy to answer them!
If your question is not covered below. drop us a message.
🐾 Why is it members only?
For the safety and wellbeing of every dog in our care.
We take our responsibility as carers very seriously, which means carefully managing the group dynamic. Every dog joining is health-checked and temperament-assessed before becoming a member.
By keeping things members-only, we’re able to create a calm, stable environment where dogs feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home.
🐾 can I use The Dog Club occasionally?
We understand that flexibility is important, but we’ve intentionally designed The Dog Club around consistency and routine.
Dogs thrive when they see familiar faces and build relationships over time. By operating on a weekly routine, we’re able to create a more settled, harmonious environment for everyone.
We don’t offer ad hoc or one-off bookings and have a minimum 1 visit/week requirement.
🐾 What if my dog isn’t happy?
It’s completely normal for dogs to experience a few “first day at school” nerves. We take a gentle, thoughtful approach – introducing your dog gradually, matching them with compatible companions, and allowing them to settle at their own pace.
That said, your dog’s wellbeing always comes first. If we feel The Dog Club isn’t the right environment for them, we’ll be open and honest – and we’ll refund any remaining visits on your membership.
🐾 Is A Trial Visit possible?
Absolutely.
All memberships include a one-day induction, giving your dog the chance to meet the pack and settle into the The Dog Club at their own pace.
If for any reason it doesn’t feel like the right fit, we’ll refund any remaining visits on your membership.
🐾 Do you accept all dogs?
Not always — and that’s intentional.
To maintain a safe and harmonious environment, we only accept dogs who are a good fit for the existing group. This allows us to protect the experience for every dog in our care.
We also require all members are:
– Fully vaccinated
– Neutered
– Maintain a tick/flea prevention programme
🐾 My dog isn’t neutered/ spayed. Can they still join?
For the safety and comfort of all dogs in our care, we require dogs aged 8 months and over to be neutered or spayed.
Dogs that are not neutered can attract increased attention in a group setting, which may lead to tension or imbalance within the pack. Our priority is to maintain a calm, safe, and well-matched environment for every member.
🐾 I have a new puppy ~ Can they join?
We love puppies — they’re truly fuel for the soul.
As long as your puppy has completed their full course of vaccinations and has been settled at home with you for at least 3 weeks, they are welcome to join!
We take a gentle, thoughtful approach with younger dogs, ensuring they are introduced gradually and supported as they build confidence in a social environment.
🐾 How does transport work?
We offer a small-group car-transport service from select locations on Hong Kong Island, SaiKung & ClearWaterBay. As far as possible we collect from the kerbside or agreed meeting points; doorstep pick-up is available on request.
Our pick-ups and drop-offs routes are carefully planned to:
– Keep journey times as short as possible
– Maintain a calm, low-stress environment
– Ensure each dog travels safely and comfortably
🐾 Do you offer overnight boarding?
At the moment, we are focused on providing a high-quality daycare experience, and do not offer overnight boarding.
By specialising in daycare, we’re able to give each dog our full attention during the day – maintaining a calm, structured environment and ensuring every member receives the level of care we’re known for.
In the future, we plan to offer boarding exclusively to our members, in a way that maintains the same home-style experience.
